DAY 4: Passive Income Mindset For Side Hustles
Free 30 Day Course
--
Throughout this course you’re going to learn the tactics and strategies to make money online. But before you can execute your game plan, you need to determine a clear and calculated mindset. More importantly, you need to create the behavior that will help you succeed.
It’s called a “side” hustle for a reason, right? You’re probably either working a 9 to 5 job currently or are in school studying in order to get one with the aspiration of making some extra money on the side.
My first goal from working on the internet was to make $75,000 a year and be a stay at home dad. It’s funny how things have changed since then. What hasn’t changed, however, is my drive of wanting to create an awesome life for myself and my family.
We are all going to get distracted; it is inevitable. In fact, it’s easy to get distracted before you even begin. With thousands of “how to make money online” tutorials floating around on the internet, it’s hard to even know where to begin.
So, what should you do? How should you focus?
Your Golden Hour
When I started my first side hustle, I was working a full time job at a call center. I didn’t have much time to work on my side hustle outside of the regular 9 to 5 hours. So, instead of giving up, I set aside one hour each morning before going into the call center and deemed it my “golden hour”.
My golden hour — usually 6:30 to 7:30 — was a chunk of undistributed, focused time that I dedicated to my side hustle each and every day. I used this time to learn something new, try out new strategies, and most importantly, I used it to fail.
An hour of time may seem like a lot to fit into your schedule if you’re already stretched thin. If this is the case for you, turn your golden hour into a golden 20 or 30 minutes a day. At the end of the day, a side hustle takes time to build and doesn’t just grow overnight. The more you can put into it, the more you will get out!
